Find it

Ten minutes of sniffing that leaves your dog genuinely content.

You'll need: A handful of your dog's food or treats, A room or a patch of grass.

How to do it

  1. Step 01

    Let them watch

    Show your dog a treat and place it on the floor a step away. Say "find it" and let them get it.

  2. Step 02

    Scatter a few

    Toss a small handful across the floor or grass and let them work slowly through the smells.

  3. Step 03

    Hide them properly

    Once they've got the idea, hide treats behind chair legs and under cushions while they wait in another room.

  4. Step 04

    Finish with a rest

    Sniffing is real work. Most dogs will take themselves off for a good sleep afterwards.
