Can dogs eat wild mushrooms?

No — don't give this

Some are deadly and telling them apart in a field is not realistic. Shop-bought mushrooms in a meal are a different matter.

If your dog has already eaten it

If your dog eats a wild mushroom, call a vet and photograph it if you can.

Being honest about this

Dogs differ, and amount matters — a crumb of something rich is not the same as half a packet. Treats of any kind should stay under a tenth of what your dog eats in a day. If you're unsure, your vet would far rather take the call.
