A quick look at your dog's eyes while you're saying hello in the morning is enough for most days.
Eyes can go from mildly irritated to seriously painful quickly, so they're one of the things worth being a bit cautious about.

Wipe away crust with damp cotton wool and clean water, one wipe per eye. Keep long hair trimmed back out of the eyes. Don't use human eye drops.
Prominent eyes are more exposed to knocks, drying and ulcers. If your dog has a short muzzle, look a bit more often.
